Patch Installation

If you are not using the Romance of the Three Kingdoms PUK (Player Upgrade Kit) use the regular version of the patch (the first entry), otherwise use the PUK version of the patch. Expand the downloaded file to reveal a .exe file. This .exe file should be placed in the same directory as your original San10.exe game file and used instead of this file to launch your game. Everything should work properly from there. If you are having any problems, please read the ‘Troubleshooting’ section.

Patch Troubleshooting

First, make sure you are patching the Japanese version of the game. These patches will not work properly with the Chinese version. If you are still having problems check to see if you are using the latest update provided by Koei. If you are, you may have to be using a previous version. If not, try updating—odds are it will allow the patch to work properly. If you still have problems it bears a second mention—did you place the downloaded (and decompressed) .exe file in the same directory as your original game .exe file?
